Mission & Goals
The BBZ, Vereniging voor Beroepschartervaart, based in Amsterdam, is the Association for Professional Charter Shipping. Their goal is to promote and support the interests of professional charter shipping operators, particularly those operating traditional ships or historic vessels. Main objectives: Advocacy: Representing the interests of professional charter shipping operators in negotiations with authorities, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Promotion: Promoting the professional charter shipping sector and the unique experience of sailing on traditional ships to potential customers and tourists but also to the general public. Support: Providing support and resources to its members, including guidance on legal and regulatory matters, safety standards, and best practices in the industry. Networking: Facilitating networking opportunities among members, fostering collaboration, and sharing knowledge and experiences within the professional charter shipping community.
