Mission & Goals
BayWa r.e. is a project developer for utility-scale wind, PV, and batteries, IPP/asset owner, service provider, energy trader, and wholesaler/distributor for PV equipment. We help investors, developers, utility providers, businesses, and governments realise their renewable energy ambitions, with decades of experiences and skilled team. BayWa r.e. delivers end-to-end project solutions involving planning, development, construction, and ongoing operations management. Using our innovation, creativity and expertise, we have successfully brought over 5.5 GW of renewable energy online and manage over 10 GW of renewable energy assets, ensuring they operate at peak efficiency for our customers. We are also an Independent Power Producer and an Energy Trader providing market access for operators of wind and PV assets and battery energy storage systems.

We focus on the following topics: - Renewable energy: targets, support schemes, planning & permitting, RED, grid access - Electricity market design: wholesale markets, PPAs, flexibility, capacity mechanisms - Trade policy: supply chains for wind turbines, PV equipment and battery storage systems, NZIA - Sustainability and ESG: human rights, sustainability reporting, taxonomy, CSRD, CSDDD
