Mission & Goals

Tasks and Mission Running the EPD Programme in Austria Establishment of a consistent and unified basis for the production of EPD throughout Austria, the basis can be used for all LCA-productions in construction industry This basis must be supported by a wide spread consensus in the building community – all interested circles and stakeholders must be involved. Maximum possible harmonization and compliance with other European EPD Programmes must be achieved Above that the Bau-EPD GmbH will consider the correct way of communication and use of EPD, in particular the impression of a quality label or eco-label must not be inspired Another important goal – to be achieved in the middle term – is the further development of standards for environmental assessment of construction products (are the chosen indicators relevant at all? Which indicators might be missing?)
