Mission & Goals
BatX Energies is a clean-tech company pioneering sustainable lithium-ion battery recycling and second-life energy solutions. Our mission is to build a circular battery ecosystem by recovering critical minerals like lithium, cobalt, and nickel from end-of-life batteries and reintroducing them into the supply chain. Using low-energy, eco-friendly processes, we reduce dependency on virgin mining and prevent hazardous waste. We also repurpose healthy cells for second-life applications in energy storage, supporting clean energy access and net-zero goals. Through collaboration with OEMs, governments, and global partners, BatX is driving scalable, impactful solutions for a greener, more resilient energy future. Our processes are cost effective and we also manufacture recycling equipments for cleaner world.
EU Legislative Interests
BatX Energies aligns closely with the European Union’s evolving legislative framework on batteries and sustainable resource management. Our solutions directly support the objectives of the EU Battery Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2023/1542), which promotes circularity, transparency, and safety across the battery lifecycle. We specifically target: Battery Passport & Digital Traceability: BatX is developing systems for digital battery tracking with its partners in line with the mandatory battery passport requirement for industrial and EV batteries by 2027. Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR): We support and enable compliance for producers under EPR schemes, focusing on efficient collection, disassembly, and recycling operations. Recycled Content Mandates: BatX’s hydrometallurgical process contributes to meeting the recycled content thresholds for lithium, cobalt, and nickel mandated under the new regulation. Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA): By recovering key critical raw materials from waste batteries, we contribute to the EU’s strategic goal of securing and domesticating supply chains for critical materials. Green Deal & Circular Economy Action Plan: BatX's core mission of minimizing waste and maximizing resource efficiency directly supports the ambitions of the EU Green Deal and the Circular Economy Action Plan. Our alignment with these frameworks allows BatX to serve as a strategic partner for European stakeholders looking to build resilient, climate-aligned, and circular battery ecosystems.
Communication Activities
BatX Energies actively engages in international communication and collaboration activities aligned with key EU legislative frameworks on battery circularity, critical raw materials, and sustainable resource use. We work closely with Rocklink GmbH, a strategic European partner, to explore synergies in black mass tolling, battery waste logistics, and policy alignment with the EU Battery Regulation and Critical Raw Materials Act. We are proud to be a member of the EU-India Technology Trade Council, where we contribute to dialogues on building resilient battery supply chains, enhancing recycling technologies, and enabling the adoption of digital tools like the battery passport. These platforms have allowed us to share insights, co-develop pilot frameworks, and strengthen bilateral policy cooperation. BatX is also actively engaged with various circular economy and clean-tech clusters in the Netherlands and Germany, where we are exploring joint projects related to sustainable materials recovery, cross-border collection of battery waste, and compliance with EU regulatory thresholds for recycled content and traceability. Our team regularly participates in EU-hosted webinars, policy roundtables, and knowledge-exchange workshops, including events focused on extended producer responsibility (EPR), battery passport implementation, and safe battery logistics. We are currently working on publishing a white paper highlighting circular battery infrastructure needs in India and the potential for EU-India co-development, particularly under the strategic direction of the EU Green Deal and Circular Economy Action Plan. Looking ahead, we are expanding our communication efforts through formal participation in EU-backed platforms, technical conferences, and collaborative innovation calls to showcase our scalable hydrometallurgical technology and its relevance to the European recycling ecosystem. These activities reinforce our commitment to aligning BatX’s work with the EU’s sustainability vision and fostering stronger global partnerships for a circular battery future.
