EU Legislative Interests

Participation in the European Commission’s public consultation on the EU’s Next Long-Term Budget (Multiannual Financial Framework), launched in February 2025. (Full title: “EU’s next long-term budget (MFF) – implementing EU funding with Member States and regions”) https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/better-regulation/have-your-say/initiatives/14520 Interest in the implementation of the Digital Decade Policy Programme 2030, particularly in relation to SME digitalisation, ICT capacity building, and business transformation. Engagement with EU regional development funding instruments, including aspects of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and initiatives supporting innovation, digital transition, and operational excellence in SMEs and regional ecosystems.

Communication Activities

In March 2025, BAS4ICT initiated a targeted communication activity in response to the European Commission's public consultation on the EU's Next Long-Term Budget (Multiannual Financial Framework). It included direct correspondence with the European Commission's representation in Belgium and the submission of a position statement grounded in the company's experience supporting SME digitalization, operational excellence, and sustainable transformation. Complementary information is publicly available on the company's website (www.bas4ict.com), which outlines BAS4ICT's strategic approach and alignment with key EU priorities, notably the Digital Decade Policy Programme 2030 and regional innovation funding mechanisms. Further outreach activities are in preparation, including drafting digital policy briefs, stakeholder engagement material, and potential participation in EU-supported events and platforms as part of a structured and transparent engagement with EU institutions.

Member Of

BAS4ICT SRL is currently not a member of, nor associated with, any federation, confederation, network, or other structure relevant to its EU-level activities. The organization does not contribute to or sponsor any such entity. However, BAS4ICT is actively exploring membership opportunities in relevant EU and national networks to strengthen its engagement with the digital transition, SME innovation, and sustainability policies. These include the European DIGITAL SME Alliance, Agoria (Belgium), and the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Organisation Members

BAS4ICT SRL has no members or affiliated entities. It is independently owned and operated, not part of a company group, umbrella organization, or international network. Its interest representation activities are carried out solely on its own initiative.

Additional Information

The estimate reflects approximately 12–15% of BAS4ICT SRL’s total general expenses in 2023, corresponding to the portion of staff time, office costs, and operational resources allocated to interest representation activities. These included preparing a formal contribution to the European Commission’s public consultation on the MFF, direct outreach to EU institutions, and alignment of digital communications with the Digital Decade and regional funding priorities. No events, external consultancies, or lobbying campaigns were undertaken.
