Mission & Goals
Bane NOR SF is the Norwegian rail infrastructure manager from 1 January 2017, performing the function held until that date by Jernbaneverket (JBV). Bane NOR SF is in charge of the construction, maintenance and operations of the Norwegian railway network, as well as timetabling and operations.
EU Legislative Interests
Bane NOR seeks to target legislative proposals relating to rail transport, through our membership in the lobbying organisation EIM (European Rail Infrastructure Managers). In the past year, our attention has been directed particularly towards the Regulation on rail infrastructure capacity (COM/2023/443). Military mobility is also an especially important field to us.
