Mission & Goals
B’Tselem – The Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories strives to end Israel’s occupation and apartheid regime, recognizing that this is the only way to achieve a future that ensures human rights, democracy, liberty, and equality to all people, Palestinian and Israeli, living between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea. B’Tselem works to advance the end of Israel’s occupation and apartheid regime through: Information and analysis: Credible information and analysis about the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime is collected, analyzed, and published. Awareness: Awareness of human rights violations perpetrated under Israeli occupation and apartheid regime is raised with the Israeli, Palestinian, and international public, media, civil society, and decision makers. International Action: Action is taken by international governments and civil society to end the occupation and apartheid regime and promote respect for human rights in the oPt.
EU Legislative Interests
EU external relations with the State of Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory. B’Tselem follows European Commission humanitarian policies and human rights instruments in the context of the European Neighbourhood Policy, European Parliament debates, resolutions and reports related to the human rights situation in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territory and the EU bilateral relations with Israel and the Palestinian Authority in the framework of their Association Agreements.
