Mission & Goals

As an independent legal professional, I prioritize the continual delivery of excellent results to my clients while promoting sustainable and ethical legal practices. I am committed to ensuring the accurate application of European regulations, advocating for sustainability and equal opportunities, and providing specialized training and information services aimed at developing concrete proposals within the European context. Within the European framework, I engage in advocacy and lobbying activities with the objective of influencing, directly or indirectly, the formulation and implementation of legislative policies and institutional decision-making processes, with particular attention to regulatory development and compliance.

EU Legislative Interests

My targeted activities within the European context include legal review, advisory services, policy proposals, as well as the organization of events, conferences, and publications in relation to key European procedures and regulatory frameworks. In particular, my work focuses on the following areas: - Renewable Energy Directive – assessment of its scope and development of proposals aimed at supporting regulatory evolution in the energy transition sector, including alignment with EU decarbonisation targets; - EU public procurement framework (Directives 2014/23/EU, 2014/24/EU, 2014/25/EU) – organization of conferences, training sessions, and operational activities to support compliance with European rules, particularly following the implementation of Legislative Decree No. 36/2023 in Italy, with increasing focus on sustainability criteria and lifecycle-based procurement models; - Green Public Procurement (GPP) – analysis and promotion of recent European initiatives aimed at integrating environmental and climate criteria into public procurement procedures, including the development of proposals to strengthen mandatory sustainability requirements and ESG-based evaluation frameworks; - Digital Markets Act – analysis of its impact on competition in digital markets, including assessments aimed at contributing to fair and open market conditions; - European Artificial Intelligence Act – evaluation of legal and regulatory implications of technological developments, drafting of publications, and contribution to the debate through events and conferences; - Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD – Directive (EU) 2022/2464) – advanced assistance to clients in adapting governance, risk management, and reporting systems to the new European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), including double materiality assessments, value chain analysis, and integration of Climate Transition Plans in line with EU climate neutrality objectives and related obligations under evolving EU frameworks (including links with the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive – CSDDD); - Climate Transition Plans and ESG governance – legal support in the design, implementation, and disclosure of transition strategies aligned with EU climate targets, including decarbonisation pathways, emissions reduction targets, and consistency with regulatory expectations under CSRD and forthcoming due diligence obligations;

Communication Activities

As outlined above, my professional activities in relation to EU policies are primarily focused on the organization and coordination of events, conferences, institutional dialogues, and specialized training initiatives aimed at contributing to the European regulatory debate and supporting integrated compliance with evolving legal and policy frameworks at both national and European level. These activities are developed in cooperation with institutional stakeholders, professionals, companies, and policy experts, with particular attention to sustainability, corporate governance, digital transformation, and emerging regulatory trends within the European Union. In parallel, I conduct in-depth legal analysis and impact assessments concerning key European legislative and policy developments, including the practical implications of new regulatory instruments for businesses, public entities, and market operators. Such activities involve the continuous monitoring of EU legislative processes, the preparation of legal and strategic insights, and the drafting and publication of articles, position papers, and professional commentaries across institutional, professional, and communication platforms. More specifically, my recent activities have also included participation in discussions and technical exchanges connected to the implementation and interpretation of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), including contributions and participation in working groups and committee-related activities focused on sustainability reporting, ESG compliance, and corporate governance obligations deriving from the European sustainability framework. Additionally, I have participated in institutional events and initiatives organized within the framework of the European Parliament concerning innovation, artificial intelligence, digitalization, and the regulatory challenges connected to emerging technologies. These activities have allowed me to further deepen my understanding of the interaction between technological innovation and European regulatory policy, particularly in areas involving AI governance, digital compliance, data protection, corporate responsibility, and the broader EU digital transition agenda.
