Mission & Goals
The Aurora Development Consortium – Global Mission (ADC5) is an international nonprofit organization headquartered in Vienna. It builds on the legacy of the Aurora Foundation, established in 1999, continuing its global mission. We bridge governments, international institutions, academia, and the private sector. Our programs are supported both by grant-based contributions and by innovative financing mechanisms. Our mission is to foster sustainable development through partnerships and investment, anchoring the private sector as a key driver of international cooperation. With projects across more than 50 countries, ADC5 combines strategic vision with local implementation, building trust, fostering stability, and delivering long-term impact.
EU Legislative Interests
The organisation’s activities are related to EU policies on international cooperation, sustainable development, climate action, environmental protection, public health, and digital capacity-building. Relevant frameworks include the European Green Deal, EU Global Gateway Initiative, EU Climate Law, EU Biodiversity Strategy, and EU development cooperation instruments (NDICI–Global Europe). ADC5 does not target any specific legislative proposal for amendment; its role is limited to providing technical expertise, research input, and non-commercial advisory contributions within the existing EU policy frameworks.
Communication Activities
ADC5 participates in non-commercial communication activities such as publishing research summaries, educational materials, and project briefings related to sustainable development, environmental protection, and capacity-building. The organisation occasionally hosts or joins technical workshops and knowledge-sharing events aligned with EU development and climate priorities. All communication outputs are informational, research-based, and intended to support transparency and public understanding; ADC5 does not conduct advocacy campaigns or political communication targeting EU decision-making.
