Mission & Goals

The Anti-Piracy Alliance (AAPA) is committed to protecting the integrity of the audiovisual industry through a collaborative, intelligence-driven, and policy-focused approach. Our mission is to: Facilitate industry engagement Serve as a central forum for engaging with online platforms and intermediaries, fostering constructive relationships to combat piracy effectively. Share intelligence and build expertise Promote the exchange of intelligence on piracy actors and emerging threats, while advancing the skills and capabilities of anti-piracy professionals. Advocate for policy and regulatory reform Champion policy and regulatory changes at both national and supranational levels, and within industry regulatory bodies, to strengthen the fight against audiovisual piracy. Raise public and legislative awareness Lead communication and awareness campaigns targeting the public, legislators, and regulators, highlighting the social and economic harms of piracy.

Communication Activities

Responses to public consultations, ad hoc meetings, participation in the EUIPO Observatory on IP Infringements, participation in Live events piracy monitoring, active engagement with specialised press and involvement in awarness raising campaigns.
