Mission & Goals

The Access to Nutrition Initiative (ATNi) is an independent non-profit organisation working to improve global nutrition by driving greater accountability and transparency within the food and beverage sector. ATNi assesses and ranks major multinational food and beverage companies on their commitments, practices, and performance related to nutrition, with the aim of encouraging them to improve the healthiness of their product portfolios, marketing strategies, and overall contributions to public health. ATNi’s activities focus on promoting responsible business conduct in areas such as product formulation, marketing to children, labelling, lobbying practices, and accessibility of healthy food. Its tools include global and regional indexes, product profiling methodologies, and thematic reports on key issues such as corporate lobbying and nutrition governance.
