AstraZeneca monitors and follows policy of relevance for the biopharmaceutical sector. It interacts with the EU institutions and engages in issues relating to healthcare, pharmaceuticals, patient safety, research and innovation, competitiveness and internal market, intellectual property, trade, simplification, sustainability, and public health including: - Reform of the General Pharmaceutical Legislation (Regulation 726/2004 and Directive 2001/83/EC) - European Biotech Act - Critical Medicines Act - Environmental Omnibus - Sustainable healthcare financing

Engaging with EU policy makers and stakeholders, directly or withe trade associations. AstraZeneca monitors and follows policy of relevance for the biopharmaceutical sector.
