Mission & Goals
Asteo Red Neutra is a neutral wholesale fiber operator committed to bridging the digital divide in rural Spain. Our mission is to design, deploy and operate open-access fiber optic networks in underserved areas, enabling any retail service provider to deliver high-quality broadband to end users. By fostering infrastructure sharing and fair competition, we aim to maximize coverage, efficiency and sustainability in line with the objectives of the European Digital Agenda. Our focus is on accelerating fiber deployment in low-density municipalities, ensuring equal opportunities for citizens and businesses regardless of location, and supporting long-term socio-economic development through digital connectivity.

Communication Activities
Our contacts with EU institutions have been limited to the participation in the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF Digital) calls for proposals, exchanges with the Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA/HaDEA) regarding project implementation, and attendance at information sessions and stakeholder workshops organized by the European Commission on broadband deployment and the Gigabit Infrastructure Act. Presentation of the Asteo Observatory results on internet habits and usage in rural areas with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants
