Mission & Goals
Founded in 1981, ASSOERBE is the only national trade association in Europe representing manufacturers, processors and traders operating in the sector of medicinal, aromatic and perfume plants, spices, plant extracts, essential oils and their derivatives for use in food, supplements, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, medical devices and animal feed. ASSOERBE serves as the central body for companies involved in the production, processing, and trading of products derived from medicinal, aromatic, and perfume plants. This includes spices, plant extracts, essential oils and their derivatives, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the sector. The association's remit extends across various industries, with its members supplying goods for use in food, dietary supplements, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and animal feed. This broad scope highlights ASSOERBE's importance in connecting these diverse sectors.
EU Legislative Interests
The association follows with particular interest legislative processes concerning: - Food, food supplements, fortified foods, dietetic foods, cosmetics, medicines, medical devices and any other product category in which medicinal, aromatic and perfume plants and their derivatives may be used. - Contaminants and MRLs in plants, their derivatives and finished products - Agriculture and rural development - Farm-to-fork strategy - CITES and the protection of endangered species - Nagoya Protocol - Deforestation
