Mission & Goals
The Italian Banking Association (ABI) is the national banking association which represents all Italian banks and also the whole financial system. It is a voluntary association of banks and financial intermediaries, which works to promote the culture of legality, sound and prudent banking management, knowledge and awareness of ethical and social values, of behaviour inspired by the principles of correct entrepreneurship and the realisation of a free and competitive market. In these areas, the Association represents, safeguards and promotes the legitimate common interests of its Members, encourages the dissemination of corporate, financial and savings education and promotes initiatives for the orderly, stable and efficient growth of banking and financial enterprises, in a competitive perspective consistent with national, European Union and international regulations.

Additional Information
ABI's total cost for financial year 2024 amounts to EUR 1.823.660. Such amount includes the annual contribution to the European Banking Federation - EBF (EUR 510.288) and the annual contribution to the Federazione Banche Finanza e Assicurazioni - FEBAF (EUR 120.000). In light of the above, the annual cost directly ascribable to ABI amounts to EUR 1.193.372.
