EU Legislative Interests

AQM NORMANDIE would like to candidate to a Clusters Expert Group who delivered important input to the Commission. There was a strong support to this initiative from the cluster community and from cluster experts to address cluster policy in a rapidly changing geopolitical and geoeconomic context. The specific group’s tasks shall be: 1) to advise the Commission on cluster policy in general and in particular to explore how clusters can more effectively contribute to the implementation of EU industrial priorities especially those related to decarbonisation, competitiveness and innovation at regional and local level. 2) to provide the Commission with recommendations for future cluster policy actions, in particular in the following areas: - Innovation: how clusters can better support EU industrial competitiveness through innovation, and how to bring new products or business processes to market. - Building European and international value chains: how clusters can become key players in value chains through cooperation among firms and researchers with different industrial backgrounds, technological and science expertise. Investment: how cluster organisations could find new ways to leverage private investments for innovative technologies. - Contribution to the Clean Industrial Deal: how clusters can strengthen ‘the business case’, “integrating researchers into clusters gathering universities, start-ups, large companies, and venture capitalists as they play a key role in the uptake and diffusion of clean technologies on the ground.
