Mission & Goals
AESGP represents the manufacturers of non-prescription medicines, food supplements and self-care medical devices in Europe. Because staying healthy as a society starts with each of us, our mission at AESGP is to support everyone’s access to safe, effective and sustainable self-care in Europe, empowering people to take better care of their own and their families’ health The key objectives of AESGP are: 1. Proactively shape the regulatory, legislative, political and economic framework at European level where the self-care industry operates, with an exclusive focus on non-prescription medicines, self-care medical devices and food supplements. 2. Advocate for the individual, societal and economic value and benefits of self-care with a particular focus on self-care products in Europe.
EU Legislative Interests
Activities in the areas of pharmaceuticals / food supplements / medical devices legislation and regulation and public health and environmental policy.
Communication Activities
Organisation of Annual Meetings and of conferences covering topics of interest for AESGP members. Publications on topics relevant for the association. Further details available at: www.aesgp.eu

AESGP represents its members in the Global Self-Care Federation (GSCF), which represents the views of the self-care industry globally and enjoys non-governmental status with the World Health Organization. AESGP is in contact with all relevant organisations in its area of activity.
