Mission & Goals
- to defend the interests of the members [primary poultry breeders] in the European Union as well as their rights and functions to address common issues in the European and international markets and to have an official representation towards official organisations, particularly in the EU. - defining and implementing principles related to poultry breeding on the basis of the EU Treaty; - reinforcing the contacts between the affiliated organisations on one hand and the institutions of the European Union and all other authorities and bodies on the other hand; - representing the common interests of the members with the EU institutions and possibly the official national governments ; - defending the common interests of its members by any useful procedure.

Dossiers in the area of - (poultry) breeding - health and welfare of animals, particularly poultry, including different rearing systems and appropriate use of antibiotics; - (negotiating) trade agreements - sanitary and veterinary trade issues - Food Safety - Sustainability in the broad sense including efficient use of natural resources, emissions to air, soil and water, health and welfare of poultry, food and economy
