Mission & Goals

The Association of Polish Maritime Industries FORUM OKRĘTOWE is an association operating on the basis of the Act of the Polish Parliament on Employers' Organizations (Dz.U. 1991 nr 55 poz. 235), registered under the REGON number 190266791. It was established in 1993 as a result of the efforts of the shipbuilding industry to create an organizational framework for contacts between shipyards and marine equipment manufacturers, as well as other entities related to the shipbuilding industry. The statutory objective of the FORUM OKRĘTOWE is to influence the creation of favorable conditions for the development of the Polish shipbuilding industry, to organize various forms of cooperation between members, as well as to protect their interests and represent them both in Poland and abroad.

EU Legislative Interests

Together with SEA Europe (Shipyards and Equipment manufacturers Association), FORUM OKRĘTOWE prepares input for the upcoming 'European Maritime Industrial Strategy' in order to safeguard high-tech and strategic shipbuilding capabilities and skills for Poland and Europe. We closely follow the developments of sustainability related files such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism; the Fuel EU Maritime Directive; the European Emission Trading Scheme for shipping.
