Mission & Goals
The Association of European Businesses is the main representative body of foreign investors in Russia. Founded in 1995, the AEB is an independent non-profit organisation of over 380 European and Russian companies. The AEB members are multinational corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises. The mission of the AEB is to support EU companies during the ongoing crisis and to keep channels of communication open in order to address the concerns of foreign investors. The AEB includes more than 80 committees, subcommittees and working groups that are engaged in lobbying on a wide range of issues in various business areas including energy, transport and customs, agriculture, air travel, passenger cars and commercial vehicles production, legislation, taxation, banking, real estate, crop protection products and many others. These committees work closely with the European and Russian authorities to advocate key issues and interests of EU companies working in Russia.

Communication Activities
From the period of 2013 to 2025, the Association of European Businesses (AEB) has prepared, published, and disseminated the Results of the AEB Annual Survey titled "Strategies and Prospects for European Companies in Russia" to various stakeholders. These materials are available for reference at the following weblink: https://aebrus.ru/en/media/aeb_annual_survey/ In February 2021, the AEB launched its new project titled "Green Initiative." This initiative is dedicated to safeguarding the interests of European business, promoting the adoption of the best international practices and technologies, and fostering collaboration with the stakeholders and partners in the realms of climate policy and energy efficiency of production. In 2024, in response to the broadening scope of environmental challenges - including circular economy, social responsibility, and long-term governance targets - the Green Initiative was transformed into the Sustainability Committee to better address the need for integrated cross-sectoral strategies, align with global ESG standards, and ensure holistic decision-making beyond climate and energy efficiency alone.
