Mission & Goals
AETIS represents the interests of 22 members from Europe’s electronic tolling value chain. We give our members a unified voice at EU level, working with the EU institutions and stakeholders to harmonise systems, shape policy and define technical standards. As a recognised partner of the European Commission, AETIS advocates for fair conditions, innovation and collaboration to build a smarter, greener and more integrated European transport system. Our members are leaders in digital and transport innovation, helping to create a level playing field and deliver lasting benefits for people, businesses and economies across Europe.
EU Legislative Interests
- Directive (EU) 2019/520 on the interoperability of electronic road toll systems and facilitating cross-border exchange of information on the failure to pay road fees in the Union - The related Delegated and Implementing Acts - Review of the Eurovignette Directive - CO2 based tolling - EU initiatives on road charging, C-ITS, mobility (including Mobility Packages), road transport, etc.
