Mission & Goals

The Association of AI Ethicists (AAIE) is the sole professional body for AI ethics professionals, dedicated to developing and expanding qualified and independent AI and digital ethicists globally. AAIE has over 60 members, with 14 actively engaged with convenor, editors and experts in European (CEN CENELEC, ETSI) and international (ISO/IEC) standardisation, participating in national bodies in France, Italy, the UK, Turkey, the Netherlands, India, and the Philippines. A significant portion of AAIE and its scientific committee comprises professionals conducting academic research at prestigious universities (Yale, Oxford, EMLyon Paris, Union College, Sacred Heart Milan, Technical University of Munich, University of Skövde, HZ University of Applied Sciences) or working for major companies.

Communication Activities

Active participation in CENELEC JTC21 enables various members of the Association to engage directly with the European Commission, facilitating direct communication and collaboration on regulatory and policy matters.
