Mission & Goals
Association Mieux Prescrire (AMP), is a non-for-profit continuing education organisation under the French law of 1901, and manages all of Prescrire's publications and programmes. The AMP bylaws contain this statement of purpose: "to work, in all independence, in favour of quality healthcare, first and foremost in the interest of patients (...).". Nearly all of AMP's members are healthcare professionals, dedicated to providing quality medical and pharmaceutical information. AMP was set up in such a way as to ensure the ongoing independence, quality and usefulness of Prescrire's publications and programmes.

Member Of
Prescrire collaborates with other independent bulletins and publications, organisations, and healthcare professionals around the world. Other teams around the globe share the principles that Prescrire upholds: centred around access to quality information, independence from the pharmaceutical industry, having as ultimate goal better care for all patients. Whenever possible, Prescrire works hand in hand with health professionals in other countries, participating in partnerships dedicated to the pursuit of these common goals. Long-standing collaborations with the International Society of Drug Bulletins (ISDB) (https://www.isdbweb.org) , the International Medication Safety Network (https://www.intmedsafe.net) and Health Action International Europe (https://haiweb.org) all testify to Prescrire's commitment to international action and advocacy. Prescrire is also a member of the European Alliance for Responsible R&D and Affordable Medicines (www.medicinesalliance.eu) Prescrire also helps to provide access to quality, independent information for professionals in emerging countries, via its Solidarity Support Programme.
