Mission & Goals
- Its main task is to preserve and strengthen the cement industry competitiveness. - Fundamental issues related to environment, energy, climate change, sustainability, quality, technology, competition, taxation, health and safety, are ATIC’s main concerns. - Legislative procedures developed within the European Union assume particular importance. - Maintains contacts with the European Commission and the European Parliament, as well as with the permanent representation of Portugal to the European Union. - Promotes scientific and technical activity on cement and their derivatives in order to improve their quality and their applications. - Is the national standards body for cements and concretes by delegation of the Portuguese Standards Body (IPQ) since 1988.
