Mission & Goals
ASSOC was set up in 1995 as a social services provider. Its mission is to foster social integration and to improve the life conditions of vulnerable groups through education and work. Through several projects, ASSOC has developed a series of educational and social services for vulnerable groups, including: people with disabilities, people with low working skills, children from placement centres, Roma people, elderly people, poor families, people in custody, people and families in vulnerable conditions. ASSOC has a good professional expertise in: organizing sustainable social services and social economy structures, development of social services for vulnerable groups, promoting and supporting social service professionals and workers; developing civic conscience in the project beneficiaries and in the society in general; training volunteers and promoting volunteering; improving the integration of migrants by strengthening integrated services for them, interculturality and dialogue

Communication Activities
ASSOC has organised events, conferences, workshops and dissemination campaigns related to the topics covered by the several projects carried on by the organisation. For instance, at European level, ASSOC is now implementing five Erasmus+ projects, thanks to which it is organising communication activities related to EU policies too

Member Of
ASSOC is member of European Social Network since 2019, with the aim of promoting knowledge exchange between organisations working in the social services field, thus encouraging the exploitation of good practices and the creation of more inclusive communities. At a national level, ASSOC was founder of the federation that set up the College of Social Workers and contributed to the enactment of the profession in Romania. ASSOC is also member of Disabnet – Persons with disabilities social services providers network. At local level, ASSOC is member of Maramureș ONGs Federation and of Group for Local Action (GAL) Baia Mare, together with whom we contribute to the development of marginalized communities of Baia Mare.
