Mission & Goals
A.L.E.G.'s overall goal is promoting gender equality and prevention of gender based violence. We offer specialized psycho-social, legal, economic assistance to persons affected by domestic violence and sexual harassment, building also peer to peer support communities. We advocate for public policies that provide better protection against gender-based discrimination and violence,and provide training for specialists in the fields of gender equality, prevention and combating gender-based violence. EU Legislative Interests
A.L.E.G. has two overall priorities for its work with EU institutions: - Gender equality, sexual and reproductive health and rights in Europe and Eurasia; - Elimination of gender-based violence and protection for survivors The main legislative processes of interest to us are related to the Directive on combating violence against women, Victims rights directive, Temporary Protection Directive.
Communication Activities
