Mission & Goals
The Transylvania Energy Cluster (TREC) is a regional innovation and cooperation platform in Romania focused on the renewable energy and sustainable energy systems sector. At its core, TREC exists to accelerate the development and use of renewable energy in Transylvania and Romania. It was created by local stakeholders (companies, research bodies, authorities) recognizing the economic and strategic value of renewable energy resources It aims to support green transition, energy efficiency, and sustainable growth aligned with EU prioritie. In simple terms: it’s a collaborative ecosystem to grow the clean energy sector.

-European Green Deal -EU climate neutrality + energy transition framework - Implemented through directives on renewables, efficiency, buildings, and infrastructure -Supported by industrial and investment policies
