Mission & Goals
The purpose of this association is to: a) Defend the professional interests of its members vis-à-vis other economic and social sectors and the Administration, promote training activities, and demand better working conditions in the exercise of their activities. b) Conduct studies and activities aimed at improving the service, training, and administration of its members. c) Collaborate with the Administration, at all territorial and institutional levels, seeking understandable and efficient regulatory standards for the activities of its members. d) Encourage effective and diverse participation of members in the Association's bodies. e) Publish publications. f) Organize and deliver, where appropriate, training courses and issue certifications certifying training in the subjects covered by the regulations governing private insurance and reinsurance mediation.
EU Legislative Interests
With regards to the heading 9, subheading ‘Main EU legislative proposals or policies targeted’, as stated in our submission, our organization aims to defend the bancassurance model of Spain. This implies that the titles of the most recent EU initiatives, policies and (legislative/non legislative) files targeted by our interest representation activities are those related to insurance and to banking, namely: EU rules on insurance distribution (insurance distribution directive (IDD); General Insurance Regulation (Solvency II Directive and Delegated Regulation); Insurance of climate-related disasters; Motor insurance directive; Supplementary supervision of financial conglomerates (The financial conglomerates directive); Banking regulation (prudential requirements, bank recovery and resolution, Deposit guarantee schemes and Winding-up of credit institutions and Covered bonds). Besides, as the main insurance distribution channel in Spain, our activities are covered, regulated and affected by the Savings and investmens strategy and the Retail investment strategy.
