Mission & Goals
The Spanish Financial Users Association (ASUFIN) is a non-profit consumer association founded on 20 July 2009. It has been working since then towards the protection of consumers as well as prevention and training of users of financial products. ASUFIN now endeavors to sensitize EU policy makers and stakeholders as to the needs of this vulnerable group of consumers. The association is part of the Finance for all program of the Bank of Spain and the CNMV, from which it has obtained the Award for Best Track Record in the development of the Financial Education Plan in 2021. ASUFIN is member of the European umbrella associations BEUC and Finance Watch and since 2021, and recently recently become a member of the National Consumers Council (Consejo de Consumidores y Usuarios). ASUFIN is represented in expert groups like the BSG at EBA, the ISPISC at ESMA and the FSUG at European Commision.

Communication Activities
Asufin is currently spending a lot of time and resources attending Brussels based events, relevant to its members, as well as producing position papers and other policy related materials to share with decision-makers and other relevant stakeholders.

Organisation Members
Our members are natural persons, they pay an annual membership fee to support our activities. The association had a total of 45.550 members, of which 13.870 are full members contributing with a member fee os at least 10€, as of December 31, 2025.
