Mission & Goals

Amongst its main goals from the very beginning was co-operation between businesses, private individuals and institutions on saving the cultural goods - preservation, presentation and rebirth of national heritage post 1989. AS CR was acutely aware of the need to have highly educated professional dealers who would be instrumental in establishing the transparent art market. To that effect AS CR participates in lobbying government at the local, national and EU level on legislative issues that affect the trade. It advises its members on new legislation. It represents the trade to general public. AS CR has established educational programmes recognized and accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education with a goal to educate not only trade professionals but also the general public. It promotes the collecting, restoring and preserving of cultural goods.
