Mission & Goals
The Association for the Commercial Promotion of the Port of Huelva, HuelvaPort, was founded in the month of July 2016, fostered by companies in the port community as well as the Huelva Port Authority. HuelvaPort arose in view of the grouth and diversification seen in Huelva Port Authority activities and the importance of the Huelva Port in the Spanish port system with a total goods movement of around 30 million tonnes annually. Thus, there was a need for all operators at the port to cooperate in order to offer integrated services that would improve its competitiveness and that of the companies involved. In HuelvaPort association is included consignees, transporting companies, freight forwarders, logistic operators and final users, having a complete vision of a logistic chain. EU Legislative Interests
The Port of Huelva is part of the TEN-T Corridors, and, in this context, HuelvaPort is following different initiatives related with ports, logistics, bulk traffic and reduction of emissions. Concretely is following the Digital Transport and Logistic Forum (DTLF), in which call for participation has attended, and other initiatives like Ten-T Days, CEF Transport Programs, and related initiatives and events organized by DG-Move. With the Port Authority of Huelva has organized and participated in events related with Corridors and CEF Programs, like the 53rd MedCruise General Assembly, and the II CEF Workshop with the presence of the Athlantic Corridor Coordinator, Mr. Secchi. In addition, HuelvaPort is very interesting in the future legislation related with the logistic market, like Secure Parking Initiative (MOVE/C1/2017-500) or the sustainable transport study made into the Year of the Multimodality initiative of the DG-MOVE.
