Mission & Goals

ASM International NV, headquartered in Almere, the Netherlands, its subsidiaries design, manufacture equipment and process solutions to produce semiconductor devices for wafer processing and has facilities in the United States, Europe, and Asia. ASM International's common stock trades on the Euronext Amsterdam Stock Exchange (symbol ASM). For more information, visit ASM's website at www.asm.com. ASM is looking to identify and advocate for ASM through engagement and relationship building with key government and industry stakeholders to increase awareness of ASM, advance ASM’s strategic business priorities and protect supply chain and market access.

EU Legislative Interests

EU Chips Act (2.0) and implementation under successive MFF Innovation & R&D related initiatives and policies International Trade and Export control as it relates to the semiconductor value chain

Communication Activities

ASM is member of industry representatives ESIA, SEMI (Europe) and Aeneas. In 2025 and 2026, various position papers and/or statements with regard to EU Chips Act 2.0 have been published by various organizations and/or ad-hoc coalitions, which were supported by ASM. These involve 1) an endorsement by industry of the 'Semicon Coalition', and 2) position papers by resp. ESIA and SEMI with regard to the EU Chips Act 2.0, and 3) European Commission initiated 'Industry Advisory Group' In 2020, ASM has published a position paper on the EU Chips Act - Bolstering Europe’s potential: ASM’s position on the EU Chips Act (2020) that endorses the EU ambitions for open strategic autonomy and the twin digital and green transition. We want to support the European semiconductor ecosystem with our pan-European innovation axis. We have also announced intentions to further strengthen our presence in Europe.

Additional Information

Assumed administration costs and salaries over 2026 for relevant activities employees. In 2021 and 2022 ASM did not receive any funding for EU Project Activities. We are still a member of R-3 PowerUp but have already completed our activities.
