Mission & Goals

ASELSAN is a leading Turkish advanced technology company developing innovative, sustainable, and secure solutions that advance digital transitions. Its mission is to enhance public safety, quality of life, and smart, connected societies. In the civilian domain, ASELSAN operates in AI, cybersecurity, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), digital tachographs, smart mobility, energy and grid management, healthcare technologies, and smart city solutions. Its digital and twin transition initiatives integrate AI, IoT, and data-driven systems to boost efficiency, resilience, and sustainability. ASELSAN follows a collaborative approach, partnering with universities, research centers, and industrial stakeholders from all over the world. Through continuous R&D and active engagement in EU-funded programmes such as Horizon Europe, ASELSAN co-develops innovative, safe, and sustainable technologies for the benefit of society and the environment.

EU Legislative Interests

ASELSAN’s civilian activities address EU policies and legislative proposals in road transport, road safety, and intelligent transportation systems (EU 3821/85, EU 165/2014), digital transition and AI regulation (Artificial Intelligence Act, Digital Europe Programme), cybersecurity (EU Cybersecurity Strategy, NIS2 Directive), energy efficiency and transition (Renewable Energy Directive, Energy Efficiency Directive, Smart Grids), healthcare innovation (EU Health Data Space, medical device regulations), and urban security and smart cities (Critical Infrastructure Protection, Urban Mobility Framework). These efforts support the EU’s twin transition (digital + green), sustainability, and safety objectives, while actively collaborating in Horizon Europe projects.

Communication Activities

ASELSAN engages in a range of communication activities to promote and support EU policies in road transport, road safety, intelligent transportation systems, AI, cybersecurity, energy transition, healthcare innovation, and smart cities. These activities include participation in EU-funded workshops and conferences, presentations at Horizon Europe events, collaborative research meetings with universities and industry partners, technical briefings, publications, and policy discussions with EU institutions. Through these interactions, ASELSAN shares expertise, raises awareness of its civilian technology solutions, and fosters partnerships that advance the EU’s digital and green transition, safety, and sustainability objectives.
