Mission & Goals
Our Goals: 1. Encouraging Social Change through Art: Using art as a means to drive social change and foster dialogue within the community. 2. Revitalization of Urban Spaces: Transforming abandoned and unused spaces in Zagreb through artistic interventions and cultural events. 3. Promoting Participatory Cultural Models: Developing participatory models in culture and the arts, including collaboration with local communities. 4. Strengthening Social Effectiveness and Inclusion: Including marginalized groups, such as children with special needs, abandoned children, and women, through creative programs and workshops. 5. Raising Awareness of Sustainable Development: Increasing awareness of sustainable development, gender equality, human rights, and justice through socially engaged art. 6. Collaboration with Leading Artists and Institutions: Building partnerships with top artists and cultural institutions from Croatia and abroad to enhance cultural content and innovation in the arts.
EU Legislative Interests
IMAGINE Platform for Creativity supports and contributes to the implementation of several key EU policy priorities, including: The New European Bauhaus initiative The European Green Deal EU Cohesion Policy Urban regeneration strategies Policies for cultural and creative sectors (CCS) Social inclusion, citizen participation, and education through culture Through its programs – such as Q’ART – Action-Festival and ARThetip – the platform addresses the intersection of art, ecology, social care, and participatory urban transformation.
Communication Activities
IMAGINE Platform for Creativity has carried out multiple communication activities aligned with EU policies and NEB values, including: Annual public art interventions and festivals engaging over 100,000 citizens, revitalising public spaces in Zagreb and beyond through artistic and participatory urban regeneration (e.g. Project Ilica: Q’ART); Educational programs and workshops linking creativity, ecology and social cohesion – with direct relevance to the Green Deal and social innovation agendas; Visual campaigns and community publications focused on inclusion, diversity, and rethinking public space as a shared cultural and ecological resource; Development of ARThetip, a scalable tool that integrates art, psychology and education, supporting EU goals in lifelong learning, well-being, and creative citizenship; Active participation in EU-level networks and initiatives, including NEB partner activities and platforms for cultural diplomacy and sustainable development.

Member Of
IMAGINE Platform for Creativity is a registered partner of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative. Additionally, the organisation is affiliated with or has participated in the following networks and initiatives: – SozialMarie – Prize for Social Innovation (nominee) – b.creative network – UNFINISHED community – Culture Action Europe (participation in events and policy consultations) – Local and regional partnerships with cultural institutions, educational organisations, and social innovators in Croatia and across Europe. The platform is also connected with academic and artistic bodies through joint research and creative projects (e.g. the Academy of Fine Arts, University of Zagreb).
Organisation Members
IMAGINE Platform for Creativity currently counts over 450 active members, including artists, educators, healers, designers, cultural workers, researchers, and community organisers. Affiliated and collaborating entities include: – Q’ART platform (artistic and community-based regeneration programme) – ARThetip (art-therapy and self-development methodology) – Academy of Fine Arts, University of Zagreb (research collaboration) – Tvornica Zdrave Hrane (local business collaboration on Q’ART events) – Artocene (USA/EU) – collaboration on art & health projects – Creative Cities of Croatia initiative – Various local schools, kindergartens, cultural centres, and grassroots associations involved in participatory projects.
