Mission & Goals
ArsTech’s remit is to research and develop AI-enabled aerial systems for safety-critical operations. Our goal is to improve operational safety and effectiveness by advancing sensing, autonomy, and mission systems that reduce human exposure in hazardous missions and support environmental protection. We collaborate with partners across five EU Member States.
EU Legislative Interests
Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 13 June 2024 laying down harmonised rules on artificial intelligence and amending certain Union legislative acts (Artificial Intelligence Act). Regulation (EU) 2021/695 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 April 2021 establishing Horizon Europe – the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, laying down its rules for participation and dissemination, and repealing Regulations (EU) No 1290/2013 and (EU) No 1291/2013. Communication Activities
ArsTech’s communication activities related to the EU files listed above consist of: Requests for meetings and email exchanges with EU institutions’ staff to present our R&D project and to clarify applicable requirements for unmanned aircraft operations and AI-enabled systems. Participation in EU information and stakeholder events relevant to civil protection, research and innovation funding, and aviation safety (e.g., briefings, info days, and networking meetings). Preparation and circulation of non-public project presentation materials (project one-pager / slide deck) to support discussions with EU stakeholders and potential partners. No public campaigns, open letters, paid advocacy campaigns, or commissioned opinion polls have been carried out.
