Mission & Goals
Die Arbeitsgemeinschaft Österreichischer Abfallwirtschaftsverbände (Arge AWV) ist die Informationsdrehscheibe und Interessensvertretung von Gemeinden und Gemeindeverbänden mit rund 7 Millionen Einwohnerinnen und Einwohnern. In fachlicher Zusammenarbeit mit acht Landesdachorganisationen vertritt die Arge AWV die kommunale Abfallwirtschaft in Österreich. Mit Abfallgebühren in Höhe von rd. 800 Mio. EURO werden im kommunalen Auftrag von 14.000 MitarbeiterInnen jährlich 3,5 Mio. Tonnen Siedlungsabfälle von Gemeinden, Städten und Verbänden gesammelt und bestmöglich verwertet.
