Communication Activities

In the context of work on defending civic space and democracy, ARCI has participated in various public campaigns in support of fundamental rights and the values of the Union, organizing public initiatives in Italy and promoting its own positions and those of the networks it is part of through its social media channels. This includes reports on the state of civic space and the rule of law. ARCI has engaged in the debate on asylum and migration policies, addressing both the so-called "internal dimension" and "external dimension." Given Italy's geographical location, ARCI has followed the evolution of cooperation policies for managing migration with countries involved in the so-called central Mediterranean route. For example, in recent years, ARCI has promoted a petition to the European Parliament, participated in debates and discussions in relevant parliamentary committees, and submitted analyses and communications to other EU institutions, such as the Court of Auditors.
