Mission & Goals
Aqua Publica Europea brings together public operators of water and sanitation services in Europe to promote and strengthen public management of water. We represent member public water companies towards the European institutions and promote the good performance of public management by fostering sharing and exchange of good practice.
EU Legislative Interests
Aqua Publica Europea follows the development of the Water Resilience Strategy, European Green Deal, the Zero-Pollution Action Plan, the Water Framework Directive, the Drinking Water Directive, the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive, the Bathing Water Directive, the Sewage Sludge Directive, the revised lists of surface and groundwater pollutants, the Industrial Emissions Directive, the Nature Restoration Law, the Circular Economy Action Plan, the Sewage Sludge Directive, the Public Procurement and Concession Directives, and EU development policy.
Communication Activities
As a European network of public water operators, Aqua Publica Europea regularly organises and contributes to the organisation of public events and conferences, publishes studies and carries out communication campaigns and other actions. The references and materials related to these activities are published and available on our website.
