Mission & Goals

The main object for which AQLITY is established is to build resilience and enhance the impact of humanitarian assistance in conflict and crisis-affected communities globally by empowering actors through the provision of free capacity building, training, and user friendly data-driven systems and improving and strengthening inclusive coordination of humanitarian responses by provision of free access to humanitarian technology, needs datasets, maps and tools for humanitarian programmes design and implementation.

EU Legislative Interests

Council Regulation (EU) 2024/792 establishing the Ukraine Facility (2024–2027) – Legislative framework providing predictable financial assistance to Ukraine to support macro-financial stability, recovery, reconstruction and resilience in response to Russia’s war of aggression. Union Civil Protection Mechanism (Decision No 1313/2013/EU, as amended) and rescEU framework – EU legislative framework governing coordinated disaster response, emergency assistance, logistics and needs assessment operations inside and outside the EU, including deployments and humanitarian coordination in Ukraine. Council Directive 2001/55/EC (Temporary Protection Directive) and its extension for displaced persons from Ukraine – EU legal framework granting temporary protection status and harmonised rights to persons displaced from Ukraine, including recent Council Implementing Decisions extending protection. Council Regulation (EC) No 1257/96 concerning humanitarian aid – Core EU legislative framework defining the principles, objectives and implementation of EU humanitarian assistance worldwide, including operations in Ukraine. Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2021–2027 – Heading 6 “Neighbourhood and the World” and related humanitarian aid budgetary instruments – EU budgetary framework governing funding allocations for humanitarian aid, crisis response and external action. EU Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) measures concerning Ukraine, including sanctions regimes and EU diplomatic initiatives supporting ceasefire efforts and international monitoring mechanisms – Council Decisions and Regulations adopted under CFSP in response to Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine.

Additional Information

For the 2024 year, which is our last closed reporting, our budget is very low as we only got our Charity status in Ireland in 2024 August. Until then the organisation ran as unincorporated charitable activity (funded by the members and founders themselves, to comply with the Irish Law - Charities Act of 2014)
