Mission & Goals
Apart Research is a nonprofit AI safety lab whose goal is to make advanced AI systems safe and beneficial by accelerating impactful technical safety research. It focuses on frontier-model safety research such as evaluations, robustness, and misuse/safety benchmarks. A major part of its remit is talent acceleration: identifying and training new AI safety researchers through short sprints and deeper programs, then helping them transition into safety careers.

no memberships. Apart Research currently operates under fiscal sponsorship by Ashgro (ashgro.org) in the United States, pending finalisation of independent 501(c)(3) status (expected within a couple of weeks).
Organisation Members
We do not collaborate/partner regularly with any other organizations. Punctual short collaborators/partners/sponsor in the past include: Redwood Research, METR, Apollo Research, Bluedot Impact, Cooperative AI Foundation, and many more. Additional Information
We got a confirmation from the consultancy that did the setup of the consultancy who handled the setup (ImpactOps) on the 3rd of April, filed with the Colorado Secretary of State. Expected non-profit status confirmation is the 29th of May. In parallel, we are transitioning out from our fiscal sponsor Ashgro.
