Mission & Goals
The Anti-Corruption Fund (ACF) is an independent, investigative journalism civil society organisation that exposes alleged corruption, misuse of public funds, and conflict of interest among Bulgarian public officials. ACF functions as a mixture of investigative journalism and anti-corruption activism group, reporting cases of alleged corruption to the general public, and monitoring state anti-corruption institutions’ (lack of) reaction. We function as a national-level media outlet. In our work, we are led by a will to defend the public interest, exposing schemes that affect various social groups through violations of citizens’ rights, misappropriation of public funds, and deterioration of democratic institutions. Our work supports the rule of law, active civic engagement, zero tolerance for corruption, and good governance serving the public interest.
