Mission & Goals
Antalya Industry and Business Association (ANSIAD) is a voluntary, independent, non-governmental organisation (NGO) established in 1990 and based in Antalya. Representing 198 members from key sectors such as industry, trade, construction, agriculture, tourism and services, ANSIAD creates significant economic value with approximately USD 4 billion in turnover, USD 1.7 billion in exports, and over 42,000 employees. ANSIAD acts as the regional umbrella organisation of the business community, promoting civil society, sustainable development, youth empowerment and innovative entrepreneurship. It supports democratic, secular and rule-of-law principles, encourages competitive and inclusive entrepreneurship, and pioneers international standards in agriculture and sustainability. As a member of TURKONFED and BAKSIFED, ANSIAD conveys regional and sectoral perspectives to decision-makers and actively contributes to Türkiye’s EU integration process.

Communication Activities
ANSIAD hosted the Antalya Climate Change Summit (2024), raising awareness among members about the EU Climate targets, CBAM framework, carbon and water footprints, and EU green transition funding mechanisms, as part of its strong advocacy for industrial green transition. Through ANSIAD Green Transformation Committee and local conferences, ANSIAD promotes SME awareness of EU energy efficiency targets, renewable energy, and the link between competitiveness and climate neutrality. ANSIAD encourages SME digital transformation and entrepreneurship, aligning with EU digital and innovation policies through its Entrepreneurship Days, hackathons, and training programmes. ANSIAD contributes to EU–Türkiye civil society dialogue through consultations and cooperation with the EU Delegation to Türkiye and meetings with the Members of the European Parliament and European Commission officials Its experience from its EU-funded project informs ongoing advocacy for stronger civil society participation and sustainable business alignment with EU priorities.

Our association is a member of the Western Mediterranean Industry and Business Federation (BAKSİFED) and operates under the umbrella of the Turkish Enterprise and Business Confederation (TURKONFED). ANSIAD is also a participant of the United Nations Global Compact, aligning its activities with the UN’s ten principles on human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption.

Additional Information
The estimated annual cost (approx. €10 000–€25 000 for FY 2024) covers staff time, office and communication expenses, and event-related costs linked to ANSIAD’s EU-related advocacy and representation activities described under heading 9. The calculation is based on the partial working time of two paid secretaries, each devoting 25 % of their time.
