Communication Activities

ALF operates through Multi-Annual Action Plans, detailing specific Programmes and iniatives that bring the Foundation’s mission to life. These activities and initiatives are the result of a comprehensive participatory work that actively involves diverse stakeholders. As part of its work on Public Policies, ALF promotes collaboration among crucial actors and stakeholders, including civil society entities, researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and local administrations, to create a responsible Euro-Mediterranean ecosystem on intercultural public policies. The Unit's work includes the organization of public policy debates, and public policy outreach dialogues, on policy drivers identified by the ALF. These currently include the ethics of Artificial Intelligence, living together, and youth empowerment. Under the ALF's knowledge production programme, the ALF is cooperating with experienced researchers, policy-makers, and practitioners to develop policy recommendations on the aforementioned drivers and generate knowledge in line with the goal of creating an ecosystem of intercultural public policies on a Euro-Med level. Moreover, the Mediterranean Youth in Action (MYA) programme is the flagship youth-related programme of the ALF. It empowers young individuals to become agents of positive change and responsible leaders by engaging them in comprehensive and hands-on set of activities. MYA equips youth with the tools they need to drive transformative change, and promote inclusive and impactful inTeractions that enhance active citizenship, leadership in decision-making, and youth inclusion throughout the Euro-Mediterranean region. To turn this vision into action, MYA focues on key youth profiles that serve as pillars in their communities and beyond. This includes young researchers who generate knowledge, young civil society leaders who drive grassroot change, and influential youth voices on social media who create impactful content. Together, they form a powerful ecosystem that connects research, grassroots work, and media influence, ensuring that youth-led transformations are based on solid understanding and have a meaningful impact. The ALF is running several other projects, including ALF Hands-On, ALF In Motion, Challenging Inequalities, Young Civil Society Leaders, The Road to Inclusive Narratives, The Day of the Mediterranean, Mediterranean Capitals of Culture and Dialogue. Furthermore, it runs the Network Engagement Scheme, a member-only programme that engages the ALF Network coordinators through strategic intercultural activities, such as cultural exchange initiatives.
