ANIMATION IN EUROPE currently monitors: - The implementation of the AMS Directive in the diferent EU countries. - The improvement of the animation criteria to aply to the EU funds: · Europe CREATIVE MEDIA 21-27 · EURIMAGES

Communication Activities

ANIMATION IN EUROPE is currently focused on improve animation criteria to apply MEDIA and EURIMAGES, with bilateral work sessions with both entities, sending them propossals and suggestions. AVMSD transposition: AE is a dialogue platform to share all the national news concerning the implementation of AVMSD betwen our members. IMPROVE EUROPEAN ANIMATION CONDITIONS - Cooperating with the European Commission to develop the Animation Plan for Europe - facilitating coproductions through AE net - sharing good practices - identifying success cases - contacting AE producers with new AV agents (platforms) AE NETWORKING We celebrate networking sessions with our members on the principal animation European markets, such as MIFA and CARTOON FORUM. We collaborate with other agents (such as CITIA, EAE, CARTOON, etc.), being part of the panels/conferences/meetings to disseminate the European Animation independent producers' point of view. AE is a principal partner in the organization of Animar_The European Animation Convention, the animation sector's annual political forum created in 2022 for producers, policymakers and other key players to scale up the European animation industry and increase cooperation between different EU countries. AE is part of the consortium developing the Anima Mundi Project. This project has received funding from the European Commission under the Horizon Europe programme (Grant Agreement No. 101178027)

Additional Information

AE has worked for years on a very low budget, thanks to the voluntary efforts of its Board of Directors and members. Currently, thanks to our participation in the ANIMA MUNDI programme, the economic situation and activities are undergoing substantial changes, so we are designing and formalising the structure to address the challenges of this new stage. In the coming months, we will update the information as we formalise contracts and collaborations.
