Mission & Goals
Anew Climate, LLC, was formed from the February 2022 combination of durational industry leaders Element Markets, LLC and Bluesource, LLC. The company has offices in the U.S., Canada, and Europe, and an environmental commodities portfolio that extends across five continents. Our mission is to make the highest and best use of the skills, capabilities, experiences and influence we possess to enable the greatest positive impact on climate.
EU Legislative Interests
Working on the EU Carbon Removal and Carbon Farming Regulation, the Green Claims Directive, and the 2040 Climate Target proposal with IETA and other stakeholders. This includes the Business Alliance for Climate Action (BACA), a coalition which is working to support voluntary carbon market policies.
Communication Activities
Letters to staff members of the Council and European Parliament; provided background materials for EU staff members to IETA and consultants.

Additional Information
Anew has been engaged since 2023 on policy work related to the Carbon Removal and Carbon Farming Regulation and began in 2024 to also monitor the Green Claims Directive. Anew has been working with Shearwater Global to better understand the proposed Green Claims Directive and to educate stakeholders about its impact on the voluntary carbon market. In 2025, Anew began monitoring the EU 2040 Climate Target proposal and the Omnibus initiative as it relates to CSRD and other legislation.
