EU Legislative Interests
Analysys Mason provides independent research, economic insight and evidence‑based analysis across sectors where technology is critical including technology, media and telecoms. Our work supports clients in understanding market, regulatory and technological developments in an objective and transparent way. In the course of this work, Analysys Mason may undertake specific activities that are covered by the scope of the Transparency Register, such as presenting our analysis at events or in publications. Analysys Mason does not lobby, advocate, or hold meetings with officials from the European Commission or European Parliament; however, clients may use our analysis in their own engagement with EU institutions. In addition to the work we carry out for clients, Analysys Mason also undertakes independent research on topics relevant to the future development of the telecoms, media and technology sectors. This research may touch on areas that intersect with EU regulatory or policy frameworks, but Analysys Mason does not itself engage in policy advocacy or direct interaction with EU officials. Beyond the support we provide to clients on regulatory, competition and market‑related issues, Analysys Mason’s work may be used by clients in the context of regulatory proceedings or compliance with EU rules. These proceedings are subject to formal legal processes and oversight by the courts, and therefore fall outside the scope of the Transparency Register. Where our work is presented or published, Analysys Mason is always transparent about being the authors of the analysis and about the client on whose behalf the work was conducted. Analysys Mason does not have a public affairs arm to its business, and it does not include ‘public affairs’ in the defined purpose and objectives of its activities.
