EU Legislative Interests

Our interest representation activities primarily target EU initiatives and legislative files related to the European Green Deal and green finance mechanisms. Key files include the Communication from the Commission on the European Green Deal, which sets the strategic direction for sustainable growth in Europe, and the Sustainable Europe Investment Plan (European Green Deal Investment Plan), which outlines investment mobilization for climate and environmental objectives. We also focus on the European Investment Bank Climate Bank Roadmap 2021–2025, which defines the EIB’s role in aligning its operations with EU climate goals. Additional targeted proposals include the Regulation establishing the Social Climate Fund, the Proposal for a Regulation on the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure, and the Regulation (EU) 2021/1119 establishing the framework for achieving climate neutrality (European Climate Law). Through our engagement, we follow developments such as the Proposal for a Regulation on the establishment of a Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and relevant European Parliament resolutions that accelerate implementation of sustainable finance and climate-related investment strategies within the EU.
