Mission & Goals
AFSC works for a future free of militarism and violence. In Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and the United States, our programs help build conditions for peace, protect civic space, and uphold human dignity and rights. AFSC's strategic plan 2020-2030 focuses on three areas: 1) Our program on just and sustainable peace shifts the mindset that prioritizes militarized approaches over peaceful and people-centered solutions. 2) Our program on just economy promotes sustainable economic systems that benefit everyone, rather than those that favor the wealthy and exacerbate inequality and environmental crises. 3) Our program on just responses to forced migration challenges forced displacement and champions the dignity and rights of all people.
