Mission & Goals
Since 1993 AmCham Slovakia has been on a mission to make Slovakia a better place to live and do business. We have quickly developed into one of the most active foreign Chambers of Commerce or business communities in the country. Together with our members, we share a vision of Slovakia as a globally competitive country that can thrive in the fast-changing world of the 21st century. Together, we are doing our best to make it happen. More than 300 companies of all sizes and sectors united in AmCham Slovakia represent a powerful and respected voice of the business community. Through our committees, Task Forces and other advocacy efforts, we are active in policies which impact the business.
EU Legislative Interests
Single Market and Competitiveness agenda; Better Regulation and EU regulatory burden reduction initiatives; EU Green Deal and Fit for 55 package; Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and ESG-related frameworks; Digital Single Market policies including the Digital Services Act (DSA), Digital Markets Act (DMA), Data Act and AI Act; Cybersecurity and NIS2 Directive; EU Industrial Strategy and Net-Zero Industry Act; Trade policy and Transatlantic cooperation frameworks; Capital Markets Union; EU Taxation agenda including BEPS implementation and DAC directives; Anti-Money Laundering (AML) package; Innovation and R&D policy including Horizon Europe; Labour mobility, skills and talent policies; Energy market reform and energy security initiatives; Public procurement and state aid modernization; SME strategy and startup ecosystem development.
