Mission & Goals
Alvotech is a European vertically integrated biotech company focused solely on the development and manufacture of biosimilar medicines for patients worldwide. Corporate operations, R&D and manufacture take place at the headquarter in Iceland. We aim to become one of the leading suppliers of biosimilars in Europe and globally. To this end, we have built a distinctive and comprehensive platform in-house for developing and manufacturing biosimilars at scale. Alvotech was built to provide high quality products and reliable supply chains to foster the leading position of the EU biosimilar industry and to meet the need of the healthcare systems. Our purpose is to improve the health and quality of life of patients in the EU and worldwide by enabling early access to proven biologics treatments.
EU Legislative Interests
Regulation (EU) 2019/933 of the European Parliament, specifically with regards to the ongoing review of the regulation and its implementation and of the Council, and Regulation (EU) 2022/123 of the European Parliament and of the Council specifically with regards to transposal into Icelandic law under the EEA agreement, which is still ongoing.
